We are a business of selling and transporting agricultural products including grain, feed, fertilizer and other general crop inputs. Belmont Mills was founded in 1883 as a flour mill and operated as such until the early 1900s. John I Lewis bought the company from his founding partners in 1900, passing it to sons Charles and Harry in 1918. In 1946, John I Lewis II became an active part of BMI and later purchased it in 1964. John’s sons Bob and JI joined the operations in 1971 and 1972, respectively. By 1984, trucking was added as a service. In 1986, John I Lewis II sold the company to sons Bob and JI. Today, Bob and JI manage the business with James Lewis, a fifth generation Lewis and Paul Seidewitz.Welcome Guest!
